Ajax has been supplying surface grinder machines for over 30 years. And this gives us the experience and skill to offer you the best product for the job. Grinding to a high precision finish is not an easy job, but with the training from an Ajax engineer we can make the job look easy.
Their are many models of Ajax Surface Grinding Machines with working areas up to 3200 x 850mm. Some of our machines have been working for 30 years without any parts supplied or service calls. Proof of quality & reliability.
Our grinding head spindles are mounted on super precision bearings, completely sealed and maintenance free. The castings are constructed for extreme rigidity of the spindle and bearings. And the grinding spindles are directly coupled to a dynamically balanced motor through a shock absorbing coupling.
Grinding heads of all HD models are provided with rapid power positioning and down feed system.
So to increase the life and precision of your Ajax grinder, lubrication of all the slideways is electronically controlled via a auto lube pump via metering valves to the various lubrication ports. Movement of the work table is by means of a rack and pinion system, with the longitudinal stroke movement being hydraulically controlled. So this gives a great finish.
Surface Grinder Design.
Because our machines are traditional designed, with easy access for complete and accurate control, they are suitable for toolroom or production use. So the longitudinal table movement is hydraulically driven, the cross traverse and wheel head feeds are electrically driven, to give infinitely variable feed control.
All our machines are available with manual down feed or automatic down feed, which can be incrementally pre-set. So machines with the ‘H’ suffix indicate automatic longitudinal and cross feed as standard. ‘HD’ indicates that machines are also equipped with automatic down feed.
Delivery and installation.
Our delivery companies can deliver your machine and offload it with a variety of ways. Then either drive it in with a versa lift or skate it in to position. Then once its there our fully trained engineers will level and commission it. Once this is done we will train you in its operation.
