AJVTC 1600
This Ajax range of CNC Vertical Turning & Boring Centres offers power, strength and speed to accomplish todays toughest machining applications. These heavy duty Vertical Turning Centres not only provide massive torque and rigidty but also the cutting flexibility to carry out the toughest turning & milling jobs around. The maximum size of which can be up to 2,500mm diameter 1,600mm long weighing up to 21,000 Kgs. The optional live tooling with full C axis function offers even more flexible machining capabilities.
The one piece column casting has a wide ribbed box structureand providing strength & rigidity. It dramatically decreases vibration, thermal expansion and deformation caused by cutting stress. The oversized box ways are heat teated to Rockwell 55. All contact surfaces are hand scraped to ensure the highest accuracy possible.The result of the intense attention to detail is an excellent machine designed to work hard & last.
The range also has the option of live tooling giving these machine the abillity to turn and mill the component all in one setting giving these machine the true edge required in todays market.
Fitted with industry leading Fanuc Oi TD CNC control system giving ultimate control & reliabillity, this can be upgraded to the Manual Guide i version with fully conversational control and full 3D graphics to make eve the hardest job easy.
